Action !"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We know that ideas are aplenty but <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>ideas without action are regrets<\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Actually I quite like <em>some<\/em> of the vocabulary that permeates social media communication. Often times you come across someone responding to your WhatsApp or DM with just one word &#8216; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Done<\/em><\/span> &#8216;. This four letter word would surely be going along with the grain of crossing the bridge before coming to it. That said, notably, it is also a <em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">promise made in advance for action to follow<\/span><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So practice or principle? <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Practice<\/em><\/span>, any time. Promise or performance ? It&#8217;s a no-brainer, ain&#8217;t it? <em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Performance<\/span><\/em>. Knowing, willing or doing? <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Doing<\/em><\/span> wins hands down.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Author and screenwriter\u00a0<strong>Ray Bradbury<\/strong> had this to say on the power of <em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">cumulative action<\/span><\/em>:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Action is hope<\/span><\/em>. At the end of each day, when you\u2019ve done your work, you lie there and think, Well, I\u2019ll be damned, I did this today. It doesn\u2019t matter how good it is, or how bad\u2014you did it. At the end of the week you\u2019ll have a certain amount of accumulation. At the end of a year, you look back and say, I\u2019ll be damned, it\u2019s been a good year.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Attitude precedes outcome<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">You need to<\/span><em> show up before inspiration knocks at your door.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There is no better domicile to be in than at <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">the <\/span><em>intersection of thinking, feeling <span style=\"color: #000000;\">and <\/span>doing<\/em><\/span>. That is where the biggest contributions stem from. The people that really create the things that change this world in their own little or big ways are both the thinker and doer in one person. As they say, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>it takes two to tango.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-950\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sureshdinakaran.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/FAY-LURE.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"2000\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When we think about trying out a new restaurant or an outfit that you normally wouldn&#8217;t have or wave a flag against a policy that you are not in alignment with, it is easy to fall into the trap of expecting everyone to notice your action. But, alas, at most times, no one does. That\u2019s because no one cares about the noise in our head (or the\u00a0<span class=\"il\">actions<\/span> we take) nearly as much as we do. You might think it\u2019s going to cause a big commotion when you do something that\u2019s inconsistent, but <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>if it\u2019s generous and useful, it\u2019ll simply happen. <\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">So stay the course.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We are enveloped by a system that resists the hustle, the action for the short-term. Because <em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">status quo is a comforting territory to be in<\/span><\/em>. But patient, persistent and focused action can pay off.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The world is tumultuous. <em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Urgency defeats emergency<\/span><\/em>. The world needs your leadership. The journey of a thousand miles remember, begins with a single step.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Action precedes change. And as the as the seminal philosopher <strong>Marcus Aurelius <\/strong>quoted <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">&#8220;<\/span> <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>U<\/em><em>niverse is change.
