As the defaults in our culture have made out that\u00a0<b><i><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">productivity is all about doing<\/span><\/i><\/b>. And that is a big big lie! And our <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>undoing<\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The co relation here is NOT about inaction and undoing. \u201cSometimes sitting and doing nothing is the best thing you can do,\u201d\u00a0reminds\u00a0<strong>Karen Salmansohn<\/strong>, best selling author of\u00a0<strong>THINK HAPPY<\/strong>. Take some time each day to sit and just be present with yourself and your thoughts and feelings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>Slack is not taboo, it&#8217;s a good thing<\/em><\/strong><\/span>. Our best thoughts and ideas come from moments of slack, not from a flurry of activity and busyness. Instead of your phone, put\u00a0yourself\u00a0in airplane mode. Wander, drift, escape, discover, resolve..step into nothingness, the proverbial void, because that is where things that didn&#8217;t or don&#8217;t exist get created. There has to be a void so that we can create. So,\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>don&#8217;t avoid the void.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The subconscious mind is where we store our strongest emotions. That is where life&#8217;s script gets written. As we calibrate our state of mind and body into doing nothing, we release the subconscious\u00a0into the beyond where it blends the old and the new, stitches up unexplored associations and calibrates the new arithmetic to the old to discover unexpected positive outcomes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>Slowing down is a hack to go faster<\/em><\/strong><\/span>. Using less energy. And to go deeper. Never mind the naysayers. The rubber needing to hit the road( the default expectation) at all times, actually is a speed breaker and slows down if not stops the creation of original thought.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sureshdinakaran.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Burnout-is-NOT-a-Badge-of-Honour.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"2000\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We are neither robots nor a manufacturing plant.\u00a0<strong><em>Creativity isn&#8217;t produced..you run into it, you discover it.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0And that happens during moments of slack, not hard labour.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lounge, stare into nothingness, interrupt set patterns. Permit your interior silence to take over contemporary chaos. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Ideas don&#8217;t come with an ETA attached.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Contrary to what we have been brainwashed about,\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>our best work will come from undoing<\/em><\/strong><\/span>&#8211; by slowing down, by giving ourselves space and time.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>Morabor<\/em><\/strong><\/span>(<strong>Latin for slow down<\/strong>). The <strong><em>Japanese<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0call this intentional\u00a0vacuum\u00a0&#8216; <strong><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">ma<\/span> &#8216;.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">In the perennial quest to conform and comply, and trying to beat everyone else doing the same, we happily concede defeat and give up on blazing our own trails. Running the \u2018\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">also ran<\/span><\/em>\u00a0\u2018 race. You might be doing okay by normal standards, but you still feel restless, bored, and limited. True success is playing by your own rules, creating work that no one can replicate. Trying to be the best will limit you to someone else\u2019s definition of success.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>Don\u2019t be the best, be the only<\/em><\/strong><em>.\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>Only is much better than being the best<\/em><\/strong><em>.\u00a0<\/em><\/span>Whether you are Mark or Taylor, tailor your own mark. Make\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>competition<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0irrelevant.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Give into <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>ONLYNESS<\/strong><\/span>.
