If judging others constitute full time employment, most of the world is a well employed place 😄<\/span><\/span>.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

‘ Fied<\/em><\/strong><\/span> ‘ can fall into these three buckets.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Qualified<\/em><\/span> means that you have done the work<\/em>, earned our trust<\/em> and get invited<\/em> to join us. You get a seat at the table<\/em>. More than ever, our current technology and the lack of gatekeepers mean that your body of work<\/em> could earn you<\/em> the benefit of the doubt<\/em> and give you a chance to speak up<\/em>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Disqualified<\/em><\/span> is what happens when you over promise and under deliver<\/em>. Or, if you expose intent<\/em> that is not in alignment<\/em> with what the rest of the world needs or expects<\/em>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Unqualified<\/em><\/span> is rare. It’s at a premium. As in ” you have our unqualified support ” . <\/em>Getting the benefit of the doubt<\/em> long after most people would lost our<\/em> trust<\/em> is a hard-won privilege<\/em>. It’s hard to earn unqualified support<\/em>, but, if you do, make sure and be careful<\/em> that you do not waste it<\/em>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The worrying trend<\/em> is that too often even before we begin looking at skill<\/em>, we’re judging people<\/em> for other reasons. That’s wrong and wasteful<\/em> as well. Being confused<\/em> about what makes someone qualified<\/em> or not perpetuates injustice.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

That’s a race to the bottom<\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cJudging others is easy because it distracts us from the responsibility of judging ourselves.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Stop judging how far people still have to go. Start celebrating how far they\u2019ve come.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
