We are all frauds<\/strong><\/em><\/span>! Forgive the blatant articulation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To quote Wikipedia<\/strong> ” The\u00a0master race<\/b>\u00a0(German<\/a>:\u00a0Herrenrasse<\/b><\/i>) is a\u00a0pseudoscientific<\/a>\u00a0concept in\u00a0Nazi<\/a>\u00a0ideology in which the putative “Aryan race<\/a>” is deemed the pinnacle of\u00a0human racial<\/a>\u00a0hierarchy. Members were referred to as “Herrenmenschen<\/b><\/i>” (“master humans”).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Creating is hard for every last one of us<\/em><\/strong>– including for the ones from the allegedly superior Aryan<\/strong> race.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you think creating is hard, try grave digging<\/em>. Or coal mining<\/em>. Infinitely harder. Do you think miners stand around all day thinking and talking about how hard it is to mine for coal? Certainly not. They just go ahead and do it ie dig<\/em><\/strong>!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Throughout life, you collect data points or dots<\/em>. And you probably don’t have a clue how these dots will connect in the future. As Steve Jobs<\/strong><\/em> said, you can only connect<\/strong><\/em> these dots looking backward<\/em>. But, you can only collect<\/em><\/strong> them going forward<\/em>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In our daily lives, too many of us favor the comfort of conviction over the discomfort of doubt. The result is that our beliefs get brittle long before our bones.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Without the mistakes<\/em> we make<\/em>, the decisions<\/em> we regret<\/em> and the experiences<\/em> that didn’t live up to our expectations,\u00a0<\/em>we would be very short on material for our creative work<\/em>.\u00a0 These things are all just ingredients for your soup<\/em>, material for making meaning <\/em>and making art<\/em>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The creative process<\/em>, just like the creative life<\/em>, isn’t linear<\/em>.\u00a0 We don’t know how each of our life experiences<\/em> will impact us down the road. With each step forward, the view changes<\/em>, the landscape shifts<\/em> and the horizon offers a different dimension<\/em>. The most insignificant of our experiences<\/em> and life’s little skirmishes<\/em> at the moment can serve as the most informative<\/em> (and even inspiring) ones in our future<\/em>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our creativity is not something that someone can give us, gift us or take away.<\/strong><\/em><\/span> It’s something thats always within us.\u00a0 Whether it’s the degrees we earn<\/em> or the jobs we hate<\/em>, every experience offers us seeds to plant for the stories we tell.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Life doesn’t pause or stop to make room for our precious creating time. So, if you are running your own life’s employment exchange, show up and ship out!<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
