With every turn of the business wheel, we fancy that we now understand the\u00a0<b>One &amp; True Lasting Thing<\/b>\u00a0that will distinguish a\u00a0<b>good idea from a bad one<\/b>, a\u00a0<b>winning strategy from a dud.<\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">Indeed, we labour still under the\u00a0<b>delusion<\/b>\u00a0that\u00a0<b>the key to winning is<\/b>&#8230;.<b>the right strategy<\/b>. But, what we have to learn is that &#8216;\u00a0<b>excellence<\/b>\u00a0&#8216; is not something that we can &#8216;\u00a0<b>envision &#8216;\u00a0<\/b>or<b>\u00a0 &#8216; plan &#8216;\u00a0<\/b>ahead<b>.\u00a0<\/b>We\u00a0<b>create it as we go along<\/b>. Then blow it up, and start anew.<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">Simply put,\u00a0<b>the search for excellence\u00a0<\/b>is<b>&#8230;never-ending, ever-shifting.\u00a0<\/b>How do we &#8216;<b>stick to our knitting<\/b>&#8216; when one form of &#8216;<b>knitting<\/b>&#8216; after another unravels? You are sprinting, only to be standing in the same place.<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">The\u00a0<b>absence of a bias for action<\/b>\u00a0remains the biggest problem for large organisations. They simply <strong>T<\/strong><b>hink<\/b>\u00a0too much.\u00a0<b>Plan<\/b>\u00a0too much.\u00a0<b>Meet<\/b>\u00a0too much. And\u00a0<b>accomplish too little.<\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">It is an\u00a0<b>Age of Perpetual and Accelerating Transience<\/b>. &#8221;\u00a0<b>Permanence\u00a0<\/b>&#8221; is a myth, it is dead. All the basic principles of business are up for grabs. We have got to\u00a0<b>play as it lays<\/b>. We&#8217;ve got to\u00a0<b>make it up as we go along<\/b>.<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">A little bit of re-emphasizing here: Of course we need\u00a0<b>Analytics<\/b>(Desperately). Of course we need some\u00a0<b>Metrics<\/b>(Desperately). We need to understand the power of\u00a0<b>Data<\/b>(Desperately). But, like\u00a0<b>All Good Things<\/b>, ..the &#8216;\u00a0<b>analytics<\/b>\u00a0&#8216; and &#8216;\u00a0<b>abstractions<\/b>\u00a0&#8216; have come to subsume the\u00a0<b>Real World<\/b>\u00a0of the<b>\u00a0living, breathing, emotional, complaining customer.<\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">Companies would be extra keen to re invent their way of doing business. And there is an increasing need for a new breed of\u00a0<b>intellectual capital<\/b>\u00a0to make that happen.<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">At\u00a0<b>ISD Global<\/b>\u00a0we are getting ready to throw our hat in the ring.
