In the culture where &#8220;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em> people like us do things like this<\/em><\/span> &#8221; only.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Whether it is in social media posts and the status quoted, the perennial quest is to be like the next, the me too, the also ran, without of course the realisation that they are going down south rapidly down a rabbit hole. Being tribal might have something to do with it. The perceived security in sameness and conformity being the tyrants here.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When we were telling ourselves at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.groupisd.com\/story\/\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>ISD Global<\/em><\/span><\/a> why people should even consider talking to us, let alone do business with us, the common refrain that emerged was &#8221; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>The world certainly does not another advertising or branding agency<\/em><\/span> &#8220;. Yet, it could do with <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>an other<\/em><\/span> agency. So, the effort at all times was how can we remain relevant while being distinct and compelling. We were prepared to put the right thing in the new place and discover what that leads to viz new thinking, new perspectives, new possibilities.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1842\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sureshdinakaran.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/ISD-CEO-Poster-15.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"2123\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A simple pointer. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>We notice things because of contrast or contradiction<\/em><\/span> not because of something blending into the background. In any case, the brain remembers what it least expects, so, the least you do is <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>deliver the unexpected<\/em><\/span>. If you do not wave the flag on your individuality, your sense of style, leaving your footprint, no (by design) anomaly, or your idiosyncracy, you get relegated to the background. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>The map is not the territory, neither is noise the signal.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1843\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sureshdinakaran.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Another-Agency.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"993\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This malaise of sameness is everywhere: marketing campaigns, business pitches, or movie trailers, each trying to outdo one another while somehow sounding exactly the same. Some elementary reminder here: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Consumers are statistics, customers are people.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In our space, there is always talk about competitive advantage. The best route to enhance that into a <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>competitive sustainable advantage<\/em><\/span> is to understand that <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>no one can out-you, you<\/em><\/span>!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Let the rough edges show- let the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sureshdinakaran.com\/blog\/2018\/07\/15\/from-povpoint-of-view-to-pov-power-of-vulnerability\/\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>power of vulnerability<\/em><\/span><\/a> be a calling hard. In a frenetically commoditised world, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>USP is passe<\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Go for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.groupisd.com\/uspunique-selling-proposition-is-passe-brands-bring-on-ufpunique-feelings-proposition\/\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>UFP(Unique Feelings Proposition)<\/em><\/span><\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Look all around and you can see sameness emblazoned unabashedly.
