{"id":1485,"date":"2024-04-24T09:47:14","date_gmt":"2024-04-24T05:47:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sureshdinakaran.com\/blog\/?p=1485"},"modified":"2024-04-24T09:47:14","modified_gmt":"2024-04-24T05:47:14","slug":"because-nothing-matters-no-really","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sureshdinakaran.com\/blog\/2024\/04\/24\/because-nothing-matters-no-really\/","title":{"rendered":"Because NOTHING Matters; no, really!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If I have stated the obvious in the caption above, I am not contesting that.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Some years ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/George_Gallup\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>George Gallup<\/em><\/span><\/a>, Member, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaf.org\/Public\/Public\/Events\/Advertising-Hall-of-Fame\/AHOF_Home.aspx?=AHOF+Page\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Advertising Hall of Fame<\/em><\/span><\/a>, had quoted &#8221; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Not everything that can be counted counts; and not everything that counts can be counted<\/em><\/span> &#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Amidst the acerbic <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cancel_culture#:~:text=Cancel%20culture%20is%20a%20phrase,often%20aided%20by%20social%20media.\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>cancel culture<\/em><\/span><\/a> that we not so grudgingly seem to have invented, you will find a large number of nay sayers for anything that you ship out be it a book or a post or a product or a service or a suggestion( mind you all these are <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>acts of courage as you brave the risk of rejection<\/em><\/span>)&#8230;and unfortunately, they fall into the bracket of <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>conformist criticism<\/em><\/span>, the kind of criticism which tells you that you have no right or business to do what you are doing and you should go back to colouring between the lines or let the sand slip through your fingers. The only thing you do at such times is &#8216; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>do nothing<\/em><\/span> &#8216;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The ultimate disappointment would be to reman in a state of impasse for fear of being criticised or rejected. You rather show up and ship out in the quest to move people and enrich their lives.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1486\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sureshdinakaran.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Order-Order.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"2000\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Criticism is a dream slayer<\/em><\/span>, the speed breaker that comes in the way of your voice, your idea, your product or generosity. That said, not all criticism is unhelpful.
